About Wines as Celebs
Ever open up a bottle of wine and wonder what celebrity it would be? Ok, maybe not, but Wines as Celebs is hoping to make wine more approachable by putting it into relatable terms. And let's be honest, every wine deserves a celeb.
Here we will discuss wine varietals (that's the type of grape!) and wine making styles that make the wine taste the way it does. Hopefully it makes it easier to pick out a bottle at a wine store, or at the very least, have some fun conversations with friends.

Virtual Wine Tasting
If you're looking for a fun way to connect with family, friends and/or coworkers, consider booking a virtual wine tasting! We will have a short meeting for you to tell me what you're looking for and I'll pick wines (and cheese pairings if you like) that everyone will enjoy.
I will then run a 15, 30, or 60 minute virtual tasting where we talk through the wines and how best to enjoy them.
These events are a real hit and a fun way to stay connected.
About the Author
I'm Merrill, I live in New York City and spend my days working in cybersecurity program management. I spend my evenings thinking and learning about wine (and watching everything on Bravo).

My favorite wines are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Champagne, though I know it's important to stay open minded about new and different wines! My favorite wine bars in NYC are Terroir and Vin Sur Vingt and when I get the chance to travel, it is often based on visiting wine regions (that picture is me wine tasting in Italy).

I have a BA from Boston University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. I'm certified Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Levels 1 and 2 and am currently enrolled in the UC Davis Certificate Program in Wine Production.
